1-1-2008: Happy New Year to you all! A brave group of friends joined me on my traditional hike up a tall peak to greet the sunrise on the first day of the year. Even though this is SoCal, it was very cold (in the low 30's). Brrrrr! Riding my mtn. bike to and from home was the coldest, but riding up the Mother was fine. Everyone else hiked, while Sheila (black vest, white sleeves) jogged along side me.
